Cookie policy

Effective as of: 1 September 2026

This policy describes how Kinema uses cookies and similar technologies (localStorage, pixels, SDKs) on kinemalab.ai and in the Kinema service. It forms part of the contractual framework under Article 1.2 of the Terms of Service.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember you between visits, ensure the service functions properly and — with your consent — measure traffic and personalise content.

2. Legal Framework and Consent

2.1.

Cookies that are not strictly necessary for the operation of the Service are stored only with your prior consent (opt-in regime under Section 89(3) of Czech Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on Electronic Communications).

2.2.

We currently use only strictly necessary cookies (Section 3). No analytics or marketing cookies are deployed. If we introduce them in the future, they will be activated only after you give consent through a consent banner, where refusing will be as easy as accepting, and this policy will be updated accordingly.

2.3.

Refusing non-essential cookies does not limit the core functionality of the Service.

3. Strictly Necessary Cookies (No Consent Required)

These ensure the basic operation of the Service and cannot be switched off within the Service:

4. Third-Party Cookies

Stripe, as the provider of payment cookies, may process data in accordance with its own privacy policy (available at stripe.com). Transfers of data outside the EU/EEA are governed by Section 6.5 of our Privacy Policy.

5. Managing Cookies

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may limit the functionality of the Service, in particular signing in and payments.

6. Changes

We update this policy and the table above whenever the technologies actually deployed change. The introduction of any analytics or marketing cookies will be subject to your prior consent via a consent banner and will be reflected in an updated version of this policy.
